If you’ve ever been left in the dark, Widespell’s latest will speak to you

It isn't a hyper, energetic composition, but the tone and Nick Widener's vocal delivery does match his message.

Have you ever been left in the dark as a child as a method of punishment? That’s what this song made me think about, being a kid and your older siblings lock you in a dark closet because you destroyed something in the house. As an adult, to me, the lyrics that Widespell sings is more poetic than literal. Regardless of his reasoning for writing this song ‘Why Am I Alone’, it doesn’t feel great to be left in the dark if you aren’t aiming for that. It isn’t a hyper, energetic composition, but the tone and Nick Widener’s vocal delivery does match his message. Here’s the new single from the EP.
