Tinashe, the delightful songstress from California with Zimbabwean roots, has been on a roll. She’s been enjoying the success of her hit record “2 On” featuring fellow Los Angeles-native ScHoolBoy Q, and steadily working on her debut album, Aquarius. The 21-year-old is keeping up momentum with her new song “Pretend” featuring A$AP Rocky. Last week, she released an interesting video for the track. It tells a love story, in which Tinashe asks for more appreciation from her significant other.
Seemingly throughout the video, Tinashe wishes that her friend (A$AP Rocky) should be her companion instead of the one mistreating her. One scene shows how great of a friend that Rocky can be, when he spots Tinashe’s significant other cheating on her and confronts him. The video is straightforward but might leave you, the viewer, with questions to ask.
