Watch: Spice’s “Like A Man”

Spice addresses [industry] politics as usual in “Like A Man.” The video kicks off with a radio interview where she is questioned about her “ratings” in a male-dominated industry. We then see Spice transform into Splice, the proclaimed gallist. Lyrics like “You think dem woulda rate me more / If me say you gal go fuck pon the floor” tears into the hypersexuality of Dancehall, and its lack of creativity and versatility.

In an interview with Star Magazine, Spice said “Producers have been sending rhythms for Splice to voice.” Say it ain’t so! We love Dancehall’s Darling just the way she is.
