Coming straight out of Los Angeles, OverDoz. is a Hip-Hop group that consists of four members: Sleezy, Tube, Cream, and Kent. Surprisingly, it didn’t take the group that long to get noticed, one of their biggest factors that contributed to their status now was the classic word-of-mouth, and naturally, people discovered their music. For the past two and a half years, OverDoz. has been through a major rollercoaster ride, thanks to constant touring and putting together their mixtape entitled “Boom” that was dropped in November. Not only has OverDoz. gone from opening for Dom Kennedy, but they have also received endorsements from Pharrell Williams. To add more praises to the group’s success, just recently OverDoz. performed at Lollapalooza and was signed to RCA Records. They are also noted for going on an extensive tour with Danny Brown, A$AP Ferg and other members of the A$AP Mob.
“Killer Tofu” stars a brief cameo with rapper-actor Childish Gambino, and is a fun and upbeat production music video that was directed by Calamatic Films.
“Boom” is the group’s most recent mixtape that features Pimp C, Juicy J, Nipsey Hussle and other acclaimed musicians. Not only does the group’s mixtape have some heavy-hitting musicians, but the production is worthy as well, with Grammy nominated duo THC. What started with 60 songs then narrowed down to 17, “Boom” is described to have “blunt raps and spacey beats”, according to a recent interview with Noisey.
