In the midst of the video release for “15”, I was doing my homework on OG Maco, so sadly I missed out on the initial rollout but with good reason. This week, I was one of the lucky individuals to interview the newly-signed Motown artist for an upcoming story I’m working on. In my eyes, what’s so cool about “15” is that it brings us a little closer into the world of the artist, and it sheds light on the lost of a friend and his brother, who was so influential in his life.
Based on the conversation I had with this young entertainer, he’s going to be around for a while and this video is just a small piece of the reason why. Watch “15” to see a few of the Atlanta-based rapper’s successes: Being featured on the XXL Freshman Cover, being the first rapper to sign to the legendary Motown Records, one of his many billboards to come, now by way of with his collaboration with streetwear brand, Rocksmith.
