Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman continue to elevate the Lion Babe aesthetic. With the video release of “Don’t Break My Heart”, this duo’s chemistry electrifies the visual in another stunning choreographed / DJ-mixed piece. Not only is Jillian embracing the full lioness vibe (in a smokey-metallic way), but also captivating the scenes showing vulnerability. Lucas Goodman’s presence in the video also acts as a balance to the overall sound of the group. Both play / add key parts to why we love this new wave creation. The director definitely brought out Alien / Fifth Element influences. From the variety of colored lighting, to the warehouse set draws in this raw glamour effect.

Lion Babe brings back the old-school, rich, experimental sound with a contemporary edge back to mainstream appreciation. Sampling vocal icons like Nina Simone and Eunice Collins in the past, let’s listeners know that the LB wave is rising while paying homage to women of the culture. Funk / Soul vibes also brings nostalgia to the forefront. You can tell the music is organic and the train will not stop rolling. Looking forward to more visuals and new music in future debut album.
