Kicking off a tour in seven days, Kate Nash released a new kick-ass video for “Girl Gang”, a cover of Fidlar’s “Cocaine”.
I’ll go ahead and say, because I am a woman, it is a must that I comment on an outfit on another woman. I really enjoy the afflicted girl’s look at 2:00. It is very Cruella de Vil-esque. Makes me think of the dalmatians I want to adopt in my thirties. Moving right along, Kate Nash and femme gang come to a friend’s aid when mister boyfriend decides that he is going to argue with her on the street. Soon after, clothes are changed and weapons are drawn. Amidst bare wobbly legs and fear, it is evident that mister boyfriend doesn’t want none, so he runs off like a btch. I must warn you, it doesn’t end there. He is met by a group of women who celebrate his defeat by btching him up in a black bra.
Ladies, would your girls do this for you? If you had to hesitate, get some new friends. There’s nothing like a cloud of estrogen packed in a body-heated room moving and shaking to live rock music. Thank you.
Openly, I am not sure that I enjoy the way the vocals sit in this video. Please and quick, someone send me the audio file or send me off to see Kate Nash live! (See tour dates below.)
