Watch: Freddie Gibbs’ “Fuckin’ Up The Count”

Ever since people started using words like “Near Perfect” or “Phenomenal” to describe Freddie Gibbs’ sound, he began to make a name for himself. Now with a solid fan-base behind him, he is ready to put out his second album “Shadow of Doubt” which is set to drop November 20.

“Fuckin’ Up The Count” produced by Boi-1da and Frank Dukes is the first single he released from the upcoming project. This song and video have a gangster-rap feel which is what you should expect coming from Freddie. The visuals for this song tells a story about the streets that may look familiar to some. The video is shot somewhere on the West Coast and was put together very well by Jonah Schwartz. In the video, the main characters are two young black boys who seem excited about entering the drug game. Since they didn’t really know what comes with dealing drugs, they got a rude awakening; by the end of the video everything is different. If you haven’t yet heard anything from Freddie Gibbs, watch this video and don’t forget who put you on!
