Video Premiere: L-SPEX’s “H-Town”

L-SPEX teams up with emcee and producer Emay for an ode to H-Town, but not the one you think. The Hamilton, Ontario duo linked up over the internet, and began working together after finally meeting in person. For nearly a year, the two pieced together their first collaborative project, S O R R Y.

The lead single, “H-Town” is named for their hometown of Hamilton, a community that led the Canadian steel industry until the recent recession. L-SPEX directed and edited the “H-Town,” video, which is majorly influenced by the city itself. Although “H-Town” is filled with clever lyrics and fun visuals, L-SPEX admits that the remainder of the project that is exclusively produced by his partner Emay, is quite different. Spex says, S O R R Y is “very personal and revealing.” The project addresses body image issues and insecurity, growing up under a patriarchy, existential crises, and how figuring out how to cope with it all.

While no other releases for S O R R Y are available at this time, you can watch the video for “H-Town” right now! Check it out above.
