Video Premiere: Derek Post’s “Usin’ Me”

Oddly enough, the singing-songwriting guitar, strumming Derek Post filmed and directed a new unconventional video for “Usin’ Me” in his basement. The Okoboji, Iowa-raised musician insists that this treatment was not written with “proper music video” in mind. Instead, the black and white, stripped down narrative is an intimate visual aid for Post’s heart-felt lyrics. Fun Fact: The guy beside him is him, play the cajón.

In conclusion, the artist explains, “Usin’ Me is about being used with less to lose and more gain. Ultimately, the one being used ends up using the user, leaving both parties mutually benefiting each other.” Watch the new video above.
