Here’s a list of songs I played in bed this morning for the upliftment of my soul

Today, after all of the intensity of yesterday’s news about Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi, and the others who died in the helicopter crash, I want to be in bed all day. Last night, Music’s Biggest Night didn’t even feel right to me. Everyone in the city of Los Angeles and beyond was sad, down, and sombre, rightfully. As I lay in bed, in Houston, I’ve put together a playlist of songs made to wake up the spirits in us.
