Keaton Brownlow, the director of this documentary, put together a timeless project for The Underachievers: Evermore: The Art of Duality.
Despite the ironic name, the Brooklyn-grown rap duo known as The Underachievers, are doing extremely well. 2013 was the breakout year for them. After releasing their debut mixtape Indigoism in February, then following it up with Lords of Flatbush in early August, they officially had a “buzz.” Lately performing for thousands of people has become the norm for this unique group.
Generally speaking, when artists put together documentaries, they never really get a strong message across but that is definitely not the case this time. “The Art of Duality” is one of the few documentaries made by musicians that get their message across. For the most part, they talk about how hard you have to work to be successful, which is priceless advice for those like me who are striving for success. In addition to giving us some keys to success, Issa Gold and AK go back to Flatbush to show their humble beginnings and subsequently put the abundant life they are now living on full display. The Underachievers “Evermore” tour starts March 13, 2016, in Glasgow, United Kingdom and I’m sure it will be sold out at every stop.
