She says that growing up in her hometown was great because of the community. The title of her favourite book is, “How to Be Happy, Dammit: A Cynic’s Guide to Spiritual Happiness” by Karen Salmansohn. According to Olawumi, it is thought-provoking, making you think and consider certain things about yourself. During our discourse, she mentioned “normalizing fucked up shit”. Thus, making us indulge in trauma. Then, somehow, fall in love with it.
