UFO FEV’s new track—Born Free—might be a minute only, but it touches on several factors one can face as a minority in America.

If you’ve been watching Fat Joe during his recent press runs, you’ve heard him mention the East Harlem aspiring artist, UFO FEV. On a come up different than any other musician I have come across, he is one of the only rappers to remain authentic to himself and his sound. Wanting to say “fuck the police” at the beginning of his verse, the ambitious and thoughtful musician stops himself before committing. Subsequently, he shares that the modern-day plantations are the streets.

Check out the video for ‘Born Free’ featuring cameos from the usual suspects and Bizkit, a well-known music blogger. ‘Born Free’ is the lead single from a collaborative EP with Dane Lawrence entitled, Sunset in Bali produced by Brian Allonce. It will be available on all streaming services on February 5.
