Australia is a long way from America, but the lovely sounds by KIT HEPBURN are making me want to go deeper into my quilt and spend the rest of the day in bed. It isn’t always a reality for me, so I’ll enjoy it for the duration of the song.

Tony Thames – My Whole Life (Submission)

Tony Thames snapped on this record with the rapping. Check out the bouncy layered track, which is a super honest song with an artist perspective we don’t hear all the time.

‘My Whole Life’ is an upbeat song about triumph in the face of doubters, says the artist. We all work hard toward our goals and along the way we face all kinds of adversity. I just wanted to make a song that celebrates the people that fight through the hard times no matter what.

I’m rooting for Tony Thames because I know how bad he wants to be discovered; I think he deserves it.

Meadows – Empty Windows (Submission)

Sometimes, I want to hear a song with simple lyrics, a fitting backing track, stripped-down that doesn’t take away from the storytelling. That’s what Swedish singer gives to me with his new song ‘Empty Windows’. His album ‘The Emergency Album’ comes out in Spring 2020. I hope most of it sounds like this.

The soft vocals which emit from Jade the Moon’s sullen Dark Pop sound is perfect for the morning: Non-interruptive, just flowy and subtly present. It’s the latest single from the Canadian Alternative Pop group’s LP.

If you’re ready to get up now and start your day like me, French producer INVŌKER recently shared a verse less track called, ‘Copycats’. I think it will get your heart pumping so you can take on your breakfast in the kitchen, and most importantly, your day.

Toya Delazy – Funani (Submission) (Bonus)

Likened to the vivid visuals that Missy Elliott is known for around the world, South African East London-based recording artist Toya Delazy is here to make her mark. Dubbed ‘Afro-Rave’, from the start of the rich visual, her African culture is at the forefront. It isn’t in English. It’s in Zulu, but the bass-heavy record is a beautiful vibe, nonetheless.
