For any musician, no matter their music genre, live shows are an important part of their career. While they may cut songs for radio plays and consumer purchase, performing live allows musicians the opportunity to interact with fans all over the world. For many fans, there is nothing like the experience of enjoying a live performance of their favourite music acts. These are some of the top live performers.

Justin Timberlake

Once a part of the boy band, N’SYNC, Justin Timberlake has come a long way being one of the biggest names in the industry. In 2018, Timberlake provided the halftime entertainment for Super Bowl LII. Located in Minneapolis, home of the late pop star Prince, Timberlake further awed fans with a tribute to Prince and a brilliant light show in downtown Minneapolis. Just three years ago, Timberlake’s 20/20 Tour generated over $231 million in revenue. The worldwide tour travelled to five continents with over 50 venues in the US and Canada.

She isn’t known as Queen Bey by accident. One of the best female acts to see live, Beyoncé has just recently embarked on her latest tour, On the Run II with members of her Beyhive buzzing for tickets. For over four months, the queen plans to hold court in 48 total venues in both North America and Europe. While it is too early to determine final revenue for the current tour, Beyoncé’s highest grossing tour was The Formation World Tour with over $256 million in sales.

Harry Styles

When One Direction came on the scene, they created a significant amount of hysteria with fans all over the world. As the group unwound, Harry Styles decided to go it alone and has become one of the best live performers. Touring with his band, White Eskimo, Styles can earn just under $1 million for each show. Much of Harry’s appeal also comes with his good looks and sharp attire. Many also liken him to a fusion of iconic British musicians, Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger. His most recent tour featured 80 dates showing his broad appeal.

Pink not only has the vocals to make her an excellent live performer to watch but she also adds a lot of jaw-dropping stunts to her show. It isn’t uncommon for her to be flying around or hanging from above. In one tour she emerged at the beginning of the concert by hanging from a chandelier. With a wide range of songs making up her set, he is also known to cover songs made popular by other articles including No Doubt and Nirvana. Her current tour supports her latest album, Beautiful Trauma. This tour is scheduled to end in the spring of 2019 after shows in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

Ed Sheeran

One of the most popular live performances to see in 2017, things are just getting better for Ed Sheeran. Once booking arenas for his show, he has moved up to stadiums to accommodate a large number of fans wanting to enjoy his vocals. His current Divide Tour launched in 2017 and is due to wrap-up in 2019. In total, he will have played 201 engagements on every continent except Antarctica. In some areas, he broke records for ticket sales including Australia and New Zealand with the highest attendance for one show.

If you’re looking to attend one of the best live musical performances, any one of these performers would be an excellent choice. Of course, there are still many more performers who provide an unbeatable live music experience.
