Thurz releases “Right Now” from “Designer” EP

Thurz

Los Angeles’ Thurz has released “Right Now,” the third track off the Designer EP, due out November 4 via Red Bull Sound Select. While “Perfect Words” (featuring Kelsey Bulkin) showcased Thurz’s smooth and laidback style and “21” is an upbeat party jam, “Right Now” features his passionate and hard-hitting lyrics that give insight into the emcee’s personal life. “Right Now” was produced by Aaron Harris.

Thurz will play The Echo on November 13 alongside Run the Jewels and Mystery Skulls as part of Red Bull Sound Select Presents: 30 Days in Los Angeles. Tickets available via this link. The Designer EP was recorded at Spaced Out Studio and Red Bull Studio with contributions from Andrew Gouche (bass guitarist for Prince), Battle Cat, DJ Khalil, DJ Dahi, Rahki, Kelsey Bulkin, Marlon Travis Barrow, BJ the Chicago Kid, Kent of OverDoz, Clyde Carson, TiRon and Ayomari and more.

Thurz made a name for himself as a solo artist with a bang in 2011, releasing the politically explosive L.A. Riot, an album that paid tribute to Rodney King and the subsequent L.A. race riots of 1992. His 2012 mixtape 517 W Queen Tape. served as a prequel to his upcoming sophomore release Designer EP.
