Word around town is that The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, will make his acting debut in a film directed by Trey Edward Shults, with costarring by Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan. There aren’t any details available about the film, but according to Deadline, it is currently in production and is under wraps.

The Weeknd also stars in HBO’s drama The Idol, which has received quite the reviews.
