Feminist Nigerian star musician Tekno releases official video for ‘Woman’: Watch

Without women, the world would be bleak.

In time for the celebration of living women and the ones who came before us, Tekno shares ‘Woman’, a song that shows his appreciation for the women and mothers in his life, and around the world. Without women, the world would be bleak. Let’s start treating all women with respect for that reason and plenty more. The population wouldn’t be without us. We’ve been carrying the earth’s dwellers in our wombs since our existence.

For clarity sake if you are not able to understand the words of the song, he addresses the old world ways, you know, women staying their place—in the kitchen, cooking food, and not speaking at the meeting although we are present. Displaying his feminist views, he says that he treats his baby equal and even sings about a woman being President. I’m glad that we are slowly achieving the equality we’ve been fighting for in the States. It hasn’t been an easy battle, but we’re making progress and gaining recognition. It is beautiful.

Happy International Women’s Day. Happy belated Women’s Day to all of the women we know, and worked with, and let’s continue to push forward for the female species—men indeed.
