Today, we learned about Jacksonville, Florida-native rapper Tai Boujie through a music video she released in September 2019 called ‘Can I Vent’ that spells out just about everything she’s gone through. Shortly after, we watched her interview with DJ Smallz Eyes, which shows the rapper talking about her tumultuous childhood, her parents going to prison at such a young age, and doing time in the same dorm with her mother in county jail. Currently incarcerated, Tai Boujie says her mother knew she had to “tighten up” because her daughter was there, too. Unfortunately, right now, the twenty-year-old is on house arrest for aggravated assault charge with a deadly weapon. She seems like she was a good-spirited girl, dealt the cards of trauma and hardship.
