Blake Rose – Heavy Shit (Submission)

Pouring out the bad things in our lives and starting over is the best thing we can do as people with big hearts. For me, mornings are the best times to put these things into practice. Each day is fresh, new, and vital for change. Without further ado, listen to the Perth, Australia-native Blake Rose’s song below.

The Babe Rainbow – Many Moons of Love (Submission)

I don’t think we will ever let go of the sound and carefree attitude from the seventies. As someone born in the mid-eighties, that period seems to be one of the “happier” times of human history, at least when it comes to how the mainstream media portrays the music and my knowledge of psychedelics, the sex revolution, and the prominence of feminism within the society. It’s no wonder why the sound is still dominant today.

If you like it as much as we do, be on the lookout for their full LP ‘Today’, which comes out August 30.

Pell – Skyfall featuring Ambré & Malik Ninety Five (Submission)

Pell, who has become a regular on this website, released the official video for his song ‘Skyfall’, which embody pop sensibilities often accepted on the radio airwaves. Taking it back to NOLA for the setting of his N’awlins-native collaboration, he shows what it’s like to hang out with his friends: games, laughs, and snacks. Watch the visual for the Dominic Scott direction.

Summer Salt – Candy Wrappers (Submission)

How cute is Summer Salt as a band? Matthew Terry, vocalist and guitarist from the Austin, Texas-based musical duo, sings their music with light harmonies, and elements from a time before this. Eugene Chung, the drummer from the group with the super cute green bowl cut-esque hairstyle, adds the intensity and excitement to the storytelling. Watch the beautiful and inviting video for ‘Candy Wrappers’.

Francine Honey – Space (Submission)

Life can be fast, furious, and overwhelming. Some days we don’t know up from down. Being able to enjoy time and space for ourselves becomes the challenge and necessity.

Easy like this Sunday morning, Francine Honey’s voice lends to the serenity of a busy woman’s lifestyle like mine. Seemingly allowing me to inhale and exhale efficiently, and not lose my breath, the Country singer’s style is not only thought-provoking but well-executed and passionate. I’d like to hear her voice in the morning often. It’ll calm me down and serve as an aid to my scatteredness. If you aren’t in the know about the singer, she is well-respected and well-received by multiple nations that play her music on the radio. This song, ‘Space’, is from her new album ‘To Be Continued…’.

Moksi – Doorman featuring Chace (Submission) (Bonus)

Sometimes, we want to keep it simple when we’re getting ready for brunch with friends. Not anything too heavy—as far as vibes go—or packed with lyrics to digest before the first round of free-range eggs. Listen to the new track from Dutch duo’s album ‘The Return of House Music’, which is out now through Barong Family.
