Lolawolf, the Brooklyn-based band featuring the talents of Zoë Kravitz, Jimmy Giannopoulos, and James Levy, have just released their brilliant debut album “Calm Down”. Fresh off a run of shows opening for the likes of Lily Allen and BANKS in the U.S., Lolawolf are currently captivating audiences Down Under opening for Miley Cyrus in Australia, which will be followed by a few West Coast shows with dream-poppers Warpaint.
Produced by Jimmy Giannopoulos and recorded earlier this year in the Bahamas and Las Vegas, Calm Down finds the band adding Hip-Hop and tribal elements to their smoky, late-night, head-pulsing sound. Fans got a taste of this in the form of single “Jimmy Franco,” and its accompanying music video featuring A$AP Rocky, that was released earlier this year and is included on the album.
