This week’s #5NewVideos list consists of Stonebwoy, Joey B, Jada Kingdom, and more.

Stonebwoy – Hero (Personal)

In a new video for “Hero”, Stonebwoy takes to the towns of Ashaiman (his hometown) and Tema to show off what life what his life is. Shots of the crowded streets give foreigners an idea of Downtown Ghana, and the next show that drag racing and horseback riding is also a pastime in West Africa. The recording artist sings the following line, “If I die today I’m a hero” stating that he has made his mark in the world. Most people, in my experience, are afraid of discussing death unless they are comfortable with where their life is. It is no easy feat, so I admire that about the 29-year-old artist. Especially, at the start of the song where he reassures that he is spiritually and physically stronger than his competitors.

Watch the ABASS- directed video now for the CEO of Burniton Music Group.

Joey B – Chorkor Special (Personal)

Hooked on the beautiful women that parade Instagram feeds and timelines, Joey B opens up the cinematic visual for the latest dance track, “Chorkor Special” with a conversation about online dating. Fresh off of a trip to North America, he was getting ready to meet, who he refers to as the love of his life. Watch the children hit infectious dance moves, as the story unfolds in the Yaw Skyface-direction.

Jahmiel – U Me Luv (Submitted)

Jahmiel, one of the most popular singers from Portmore, Jamaica today, released the official video for “U Me Luv.” In it, the singer stands at the altar with the woman of his dreams. I don’t want to spoil the ending, so you’re going to have to watch it yourself.

Jada Kingdom – Love Situations (Personal)

Do not waste Jada Kingdom’s time or you will be sorry. Significantly, the video starts with a ticking clock and violent strike to a man’s body. Next, he is lying down on a table, wrapped in plastic. We’re unsure if we agree with the way she went about getting him back but to each his own. Aside from the topic of cheating and a man not keeping his genitalia to himself, the Jamaican singer tells a tale we are all too familiar with as girls and women.

Victoria Kimani – China Love featuring R. City (Personal)

In a fashion-forward video, Victoria Kimani, an American-born Los Angeles-based Kenyan singer-songwriter shared the official video for “China Love” last month. The Far Eastern choice of instrumentation within the production rings true to the tracks name, and the singer does classic red-eye shadow with a folding silk hand fan to complete the look. I won’t hold you up. I’m unsure what ‘China love’ means, but I like Kimani’s voice. I thought I should introduce her to my audience by showcasing her music through her latest video release.

Harrysong – Under the Duvet (Personal) (Bonus)

Leave it to a West African man to cast a woman as one of his female interests. Nigerian singer Harrysong is best known for his tribute song to Nelson Mandela released in 2013. The following year, his nomination in the “Best Pop/R&B Artist of the Year” at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards happened. It was for his song titled, “Better Pikin.” I met a man from Delta State once… He did not go under the duvet.
