Often, Elliphant is referred to as the “twisted illegitimate offspring of M.I.A. and Diplo” as she brands a style of music we haven’t quite seen emerge from Sweden. With the likes of Icona Pop being played on major radio stations in America and performing at our finest music award shows, we’re used to hearing a swear word or two in a pop record, but not quite like this.
