Since my MySpace days, I’ve had an undying love and crush on Mike Skinner. At the time, he was releasing music under the moniker, The Streets and “Blinded By The Lights” was my fair game introduction. I used to sing and hum that number all the time. If my near-thirty year-old mind serves me right, it was also around the time that I discovered ADULT., Antony & The Johnsons, formed a real love and appreciation for Björk, and so many of the other kinds of music that I enjoy today. In all of its instrumental glory, stream one of the latest and one of my favourite Skinner tracks to date.
