In 2013, George Zimmerman was exculpated by the jury in the shooting of Trayvon Martin. The Treyvon Martin incident shook the world and till this day, many stand against the jury’s verdict. On Monday, May 12, a driver fired a bullet at George Zimmerman’s vehicle but he was not hit by the gunfire. He only suffered minor injuries from broken glass. He will probably need bulletproof windows after this incident. According to the shooter, Apperson it was fired out of self-defense and nothing else. This is not the first time that Zimmerman and Apperson had an altercation. Back in September 2014, they confronted each other in another road rage incident. On this shooting incident, they found a .40-caliber Glock 22 and .357 handgun inside Apperson’s car but also found a glock handgun in Zimmerman’s.
If you rewind time after the Trayvon Martin incident, you can find numerous alleged crimes including domestic violence incidents that Zimmerman was involved in. Many know how the system works and it’s not always fair. It baffles me that they wouldn’t do anything about all the allegations that includes Zimmerman. If this was another person in the hood, they most definitely will look into it and find something to put them away for a couple of years.
The system is the system at the end of the day, just like Zimmerman will always be remembered as the one that got away from justice for the death of Trayvon Martin’s.
