Listen to Soaky Siren’s ‘Dope Boys’, a catchy song about fast living

This song is not for me, but it has every element in it to be a hit.

We’re all familiar with the old adage “there’s nothing new under the Sun” but damn! Case in point: How many times have we heard the story of the “dope boy gettin’ the pretty girl?” Even outside of music, Eric Jerome Dickey has written volumes of books regurgitating this same BET trope. I appreciate Soaky Siren’’s vantage point of this story.

You took the low-life flexing the highlight, not realizing that shit only gets you so high.

This song is not for me, but it has every element in it to be a hit. Simple song title, sharp traps snare, and interesting artwork. Most importantly it has a story, truth, and purpose behind it.
