‘Colorful Radiation’ is an album that showcases true musicianship. Not only does Sluka prove to be a highly-skilled musician, with his many harmonies and piano melodies, he also displays his vocal ability and artistry, throughout the album. The album starts off with an energetic track, ‘Number One’ but then is followed by songs like ‘Vigra’ and ‘Rise’ which shows more of a carefree vibe. This album does have a dark undertone, with tracks like ‘Tease Me’, but maintains a positive, free-spirited vibe. The cover art for this album, a self-portrait painted by Sluka captures holistically the essence and tone of the album. There is a dark, intense expression on his face, but sonically, like the splashes of paint on the cover, there is a colourful radiation coming from him. A complete masterpiece across the board, definitely an album worth the listens.
