With a southern background and a universal sound, Boogie has captivated the ears of listeners with his witty wordplay and progressive style. This Mississippi native strays away from the stereotypical modern day mediocre sound by staying true to himself and experimenting with different genres of all sorts. “The black sheep could be washed repeatedly but never loose it’s color.” Born and raised, in Meridian MS, Jarante “Boogie” Glenn grew up in a household full of art, the soundtrack to his days mainly consisted of great musicians such as Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, and Outkast just to name a few. “I remember when I was 13, I use to spend most of my time in back of the math class drawing instead of calculating.” Before hitting his teen years, he started taking those thoughts and images in his head and begun translating them into lyrics, and by the time he finished middle school he had already begun establishing his self as an artist. Although he rarely exchanged words with others, he gave peers a earful when they heard his music.
With the same mind state he came in the with, Boogie is beginning to leave his mark on the hearts of real Hip-Hop lovers.
