I don’t know very much about Actor, the Leeds-based Alternative Pop singer, yet but the dark-haired, burgundy-lipped songstress has a natural calming aura about her that I’d like to hear more of in the near future. The outfit is fronted by Louisa Osborn, and is produced by Chris Mulligan and Ste Anderson, who is on the drums. Not only could I see myself jamming out to this funky, vivacious record, which was described by the artist as “filled with rage and disappointment yet tinged with a strange sort of dark wonder”, I think my Uber driver would appreciate too, especially if we’re somewhere in Southern California, late at night.
