Last week, Shatta Wale released a top Dancehall tune called ‘Differren Star’ fit for a competitive message and boasting. Within the lyrics of the song, Ghana’s Dancehall king explains why no one can ever compare to him, and why he’s one of one. Before the release of ‘Differren Star’, he put out two other tracks called ‘Miss Money’ and ‘Realest Thing’ with Jamaican music producer, Damage Musiq.

Reportedly, the celebrated artist, who has collaborated with Beyoncé on her ‘The Lion King: The Gift’ curated soundtrack in 2019, has music featured on Beyoncé’s unreleased Disney Plus project ‘Black Is King’, too. It comes out and streams exclusively through Disney Plus on July 31.

Until we can watch the visual album with “images of the Black diaspora” and hear his contribution, listen to ‘Differren Star’ below. When you finish that, watch the one-minute trailer for the film that has been in production for a year.
