As he pours out his longing for love from his person of interest, he serenades them with tons of affirmations throughout this song, letting them know how he feels about them. The song samples Frank Ocean’s ‘Novacane’, in which this song seems to have gotten its name from. As he performs, the song does allow listeners to identify with Safwaan’s emotions throughout, as it radiates through the music.
