Following the May release of Royce da 5’9”’s album ‘Book of Ryan’, he comes forth with the video for his track ‘Summer On Lock’. The timing is interesting, seeing that we are coming to the end of the Summer, it comes as a reminder of Royce’s pre-Summer declaration that he got “the Summer on lock, and the winter too.” The visual showcases some lyrical heavy hitters, Pusha T, who does the hook, Fabolous, Jadakiss, and Agent Sasco, all collaborating with Royce to provide some imagery for this hard-hitting track and his bold statement! The visual is full of cutscenes of flashy cars, women, motorcyclists riding around, the rappers in a warehouse, each taking their step forward to rap their intense verse. The visual is simple but effective in delivering its message. Royce has the Summer on lock, and don’t get it confused, he got the Winter too!
