Round Up

So you can’t even be mad at bae anymore after he plays “Dang!” by Mac Miller and Anderson .Paak. Yes, he’s childish and has made tons of mistakes, and apparently, so has Mac Miller, but let’s forget the lyrics for a moment and focus on the beat. I mean, wind blowing, the sun is shine, colors poppin’, feeling good, all perfectly translated in this hot new single’s music video, directed by Rex Arrow. Alright, come on now, let bygones be bygones because really where the h*** are you going?

I don’t know if I’m the only one who felt this way, but it was like a 1970’s Funkadelic dream — in a room with Roy Ayers, Curtis Mayfield, Johnny Harris, Yuseef Lateef, oh, that’s right, KAYTRANADA and BADBADNOTGOOD — the type of dream one refuses to wake up from. “Fall In Love,” the latest single by GoldLink featuring Ciscero definitely takes you there. You might wake up wishing you never fell in love but in such a jivin’ way.

I’ve been a fan of Dpat and Atu for some time now, thanks to Soulection Radio, but ladies and gentleman, let me introduce to you, Sonder. Dpat, Atu, alongside Brent Faiyaz, creates Victoria (Part 1), Undone (Part 2) & Sheath (Part 3). I mean soft, melodic numbers, wraps around my waist, traveling to my lips, I exhale… I mean, “Invite Me” takes you there. Brent Faiyaz’s voice alone is the perfect piece to the Sonder project.
