This week’s Round Up consists of Beck, Bell Biv DeVoe, Usher and more.
In a funky eighties rendition, Nantes, France-native Alternative band Christine and the Queens covered Beyoncé’s “Sorry” on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge. She is best known for her popular single titled, “Tilted.” You’re going to love watching the singer-songwriter dance to the beat. When you’re through, watch the official video for “Tilted.”
Rapper and rocker Beck — I don’t care what you think about that statement — has released a mentally stimulating video for “Wow.” The Western-inspired music video features Beck’s children Cosimo and Tuesday Hansen as dancers, red roses, slow shots of animals, Beck dancing — the way only he can — on a highway and more. Check out the vivid new visual for the Lady Gaga collaborator below. Also, Beck’s forthcoming album is coming out next month on Capitol Records. Please, before you go, can we talk about how Beck doesn’t age? “Wow,” is a long way from the 46-year-old’s breakout single “Loser” but somehow he manages to look youthful.
Check out some behind-the-scenes footage for “Wow” below.
Bell Biv DeVoe, a successful Bostonian R&B / Soul group, released new music. “Run” is the trio’s first single in 15 years. Too young to remember the New Jack Swing group? Don’t worry. The former New Edition members play their smash hit “Poison” at the beginning of the video to jog your memory. In the new track, they sing about relationships with women, the pain they cause, and being a sucker for that love. Watch the official video for “Run” below. On a personal note, I think they’ve done a good job at (lyrically) staying within their age range. They do not chase young boy sounds or linguistics. This single is from their forthcoming album, Three Stripes =.
Singer-songwriter Usher is an icon. From introducing Justin Bieber to the scene to earning multi-platinum records, he took it back to his roots: Atlanta. Enlisting fellow Atlanta-native artists Young Thug for “No Limit” and Future for “Rivals,” Usher is ready to release his eighth studio album, “Flawed”.
