Everyone has that person, who they want to tell everyone about, think about all the time, and they’re smiling from ear to ear when they talk about them. For the Los Angeles-based crooner Krystin “Rook Monroe” Watkins, who is a songwriter credited as a writer for 2016 single ‘Desperado’ (ANTI) for Rihanna, that person is Jolie. Listen to the well-crafted debut single below. The producer, Trackside, also works with BabyJake, Selena, and Tinashe. Before focusing on his career as a primary artist, Rook Monroe wrote for artists like Jeremih and The Chainsmokers. Based on how this sounds, I’m anticipating an EP or a full-length.
