Zach Alwin, creatively known as Roet, is a singer-songwriter and producer best-known for his behind-the-scenes work; songwriting for heavily rotated musicians. The half-hippy half-hipster creatively explores Alternative Electronic soundscapes to create his signature Lo-Fi sound. The emerging Alternative Electronic talent is the sole creator behind all his music, and his new track ‘If I Look Fine’ showcases his every ounce of his musical brilliance.

The track kicks off with a slow piano and distorted sneer melody before Roet unleashes his distinctly earnest vocals. The beat then adds a steady baseline, creating an Alternative Pop soundscape with R&B elements. Roet perfectly connects with the darker side of his personality, as his lyrics reveal a struggle with negative thoughts.

The more I work on this project, the more I find myself writing and focusing on issues of mental health. The idea of this song is a bit of a paradox, but it felt fitting because of how chaotic and nonsensical dealing with mental health issues can be.
