Red Bull Music Presents Minneapolis: Doomtree Forest. On September 7, Red Bull Music Presents a special show featuring Doomtree. Consisting of seven unique artists, Doomtree started in 2001 in Minneapolis as a Hip-Hop collective of like-minded solo musicians, eventually growing into a thriving independent record label and later a band when all seven record and perform together. The group has since been a fixture in the local Minneapolis music scene for well over a decade, and Doomtree Forest will be the only full-crew set that the entire collective will perform at this year. Doomtree is P.O.S, Sims, Dessa, Cecil Otter, Mike Mictlan, Lazerbeak, and Paper Tiger.

For this unique event, the crew will be turning legendary Minneapolis skate shop ‘Familia’ into a packed music venue. In celebration of 2018’s many side project releases on Doomtree Records, the indoor skate park will be transformed into an actual forest – a nod to Doomtree’s extensive family tree and all of its various side projects and solo permutations. Expect several mini pop-up showcases throughout the night highlighting Doomtree Records’ 2018 release schedule — including performances from Shredders, Dessa, Longshot and Lazerbeak, Sims x Air Credits x ICETEP, and the newly announced Four Fists projects — with many more surprises and performances in store.

The show is set to take place at 8 PM on September 7, with tickets available here.

About Doomtree

Formed in 2001, Doomtree consisting of P.O.S, Sims, Dessa, Cecil Otter, Mike Mictlan, Lazerbeak and Paper Tiger, is the entire group of artists that represent the label, the collective and the band when they decide to come together to collaborate. The group has released four full-length albums in the last decade, with hundreds of additional singles, EP’s and side projects also coming through the pipeline.

About Shredders

Containing four of the seven members of Doomtree, Shredders was formed in 2017 after each member finished up their respective solo projects. Borne from a Doomtree crew hiatus, P.O.S, Sims, Lazer Beak and Paper Tiger seized the opportunity to come together to make a collection of in-your-face bangers introducing themselves with a self-titled EP in 2017 and following up with their debut album ‘Dangerous Jumps’ last November. Since then, the group has been touring North America throughout 2018.

About Four Fists

Four Fists is the collaborative project between P.O.S and Astronautalis, two of Minneapolis’ most stylistically fearless artists, both of whom simultaneously inhabit the worlds of Hip-Hop and Indie-Punk in a way that the Twin Cities music community has always welcomed. The five-year span between debut 7″ and their first full-length ‘6666’, out October 12 on Doomtree Records, allows the duo to showcase growing from young-and-hungry firebrands into career musicians with increasingly adult outlooks.

About Sims x Air Credits x ICETEP

Sims, rapper ShowYouSuck, producer and member of Hood Internet Steve Reidell and producer ICETEP have all worked and toured together in various forms over the last few years. Last Summer, they finally came together to release music, holing themselves up in studios in Chicago and Minneapolis to create their dystopian sci-fi debut rap album Artería Verité, which was released on August 3rd, with a US tour to come this Fall.

About Longshot and Lazerbeak

Doomtree member and big time Minneapolis producer Lazerbeak has toured with OG Chicago rapper Longshot several times over the last few years and the two began to compile a collection of songs together which culminated in their debut album Parades which released earlier this Summer.

About Sick Trim

Two original Doomtree members, Lazerbeak and Paper Tiger, have made beats and performed side by side as Sick Trim since initially forming the collective in 2001. The duo formed Sick Trim as their DJ/production project where they can make the dance hits and bangers they love so much. The duo played their debut show at Minnesota’s Soundset Festival in March and have begun work on their debut production album due next year.
