Raven-Symoné doesn’t want Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill

It looks like Raven-Symoné has hit another nerve by simply stating her opinion. This week, Women on $20s launched a campaign to get a woman on the $20 bill. After two rounds of voting, an online poll revealed Harriet Tubman as America’s choice as the new face of the $20 bill. Yesterday, the women of ABC’s ‘The View’ shared their view of the outcome. Raven was the first to voice her opinion stating, “I don’t like that idea. I think we need to move a little bit more forward.”

While Raven went on to make a relatively valid point, it might be her delivery that seems to get under our skin. Starting off her statement with, “No offense to everyone that’s going to be mad at me for saying this” was a little inflammatory. Maybe it’s her job to be the curt, disagreeable one. In any event, we might as well get used to it.
