We love music. Really.
The GrungeCake Show (London) is brought to you by Croydon Radio based in the borough of its namesake in South London. Show host Evian Cafun, now joined by co-host Gemma Hoddy, is our charming and comical personality that started and that has carried the show for months. Gemma Hoddy‘s addition not only brings a feminine quality to the 2-hour segment but often, she challenges Cafun to a rap battle. We’re kidding about that, but what we’re not kidding about this: By day, Hoddy is a professional dancer who honorably danced (and choreographed?) a routine at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London with the Boadicea Dance Crew. #bigpower indeed.
Since our launch in November 2012, we’ve interviewed international artists and personalities like Mademoiselle Yulia, Spragga Benz and Lazy Jay (Belgian production duo credited for smash hits like Azealia Banks‘ “212” and will.i.am‘s “Scream & Shout” featuring Britney Spears) and British-Hollywood authors and actors like Cass Pennant, Tamer Hassan and many many more.
*”Scream & Shout” was a #1 song in 53 countries on iTunes, breaking Adele‘s “Skyfall” record (51). Happily, we also had the pleasure of interviewing Shannon Lee, Bruce Lee’s daughter.
In addition, we’ve extended our show to a stateside station based in Boston, Massachusetts. The GrungeCake Show (Boston) will air this Spring in May 2013. For more information on all things GrungeCake and its radio segments, please sign up for our newsletter now.
