Unruly! Dancehall superstar, Popcaan, shares the visual for ‘Silence’, which gives fans a little look at the real Jamaica. The visual exemplifies the lyrics of the song, panning through scenes with burning cars, youth playing football, a church, Popcaan and his crew walking through the streets and other scenes with them on riding through the streets on dirt bikes, with accompanying images of people having fun in the streets, cooking, and just having a good time. There is a portrayal of togetherness, but also you can see the hesitation to completely trust anyone. “So hard fi trust your enemy, hard fi trust your friend”, the visual perfectly shows where people who are raised on survival, conflict with different relationships, yet never let these struggles get in between what really matters.
