In the history of music, Ohio is one of the most eclectic states to bring forth unforgettable musicians (namely vocalists) known for their classic and timeless jams (The Isley Brothers, Bobby Womack, John Legend and even Marilyn Manson). I won’t dare call Automagik a classic entity just yet —— because it’s just too soon —— however, if they continue to spew out music videos for songs like “Pop Kiss”, and continue to record at the level they are producing material at now, I believe they will be inducted into their hometown’s prestigious Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum, when deserved. Without a doubt, I’m digging it and because you’re on this webpage right now, reading this text, you should watch the quintet’s astounding and well-directed music video for their latest “freak-out pop rock” number above. Spoiler: If you love pop art and Andy Warhol, I can almost bet you’ll watch this over and over. Be on the look out for their third release the Beach Fuzz EP, later this Spring.

Instead they are projected in fragmented, semi-conscious streams of thought that describe the mind-altered state of affection. This song and video needed to be out of this world and surreal.
