On July 29, the musical icon’s sixteen-track album becomes available on all streaming platforms.

When we were sleeping, Beyoncé shared details about her forthcoming album with the world in her way. After scrubbing profile photos across her social media accounts—even her YouTube account—the Beyhive suggested that their queen was ready to make their lives a little better this Summer.

It is a different release style for our reigning musical queen because we normally wake up with new music from Beyoncé as a surprise. She has done it all by recording songs in multiple genres, recorded and performing with a group, solo, and global music stars. Something tells me that the context of her album may be what’s surprising or her look.

That’s all for now.

Jamaican Reggae R&B artist Sevana wants to be left alone: Watch ‘Lowe Mi’

After dealing with a traumatic experience involving a vehicular collision that led to someone’s death, it seems famous Reggae R&B artist Sevana is back to what she loves and living peacefully. Last week, the Jamaican singer-songwriter delivered sultry harmonic vibes to tell a story of escaping darkness and the journey of wanting to be left alone.

She was born in the Savanna-la-Mar, Jamaica, a town where an eighteenth-century fort constructed for colonial defence against pirates in the Caribbean stands. The town is in Westmoreland, the same place she enjoys a swim in a red bikini. Watch the six-day-old music video for ‘Lowe Mi’ below.

The track was produced by Pantha, a Jamaican-born creator (producer-songwriter). He has produced songs like ‘Freedom Fighter’ and ‘Cool as the Breeze’ for fellow Jamaican artist Chronixx.

Hilarious artist Marc Rebillet announces North American tour: See dates

No rules here.

Before this moment, Marc Rebillet wasn’t someone on my radar. I wasn’t aware of his quaint ways or his comedic approach to his music.

Don’t expect to hear anything “serious” or perfectly delivered when you stream his musical efforts. He is boundless, free, genreless, and purely in existence for entertainment purposes.

I will if I have time to go and see the self-proclaimed “Loop Daddy” during his North American tour. In a world where things are uncertain, and people are numb, tired, and afraid, he may be that one thing we need to help loosen up. Nigeria’s Reekado Banks releases VR 360° lyric visual experience for ‘Pulling Up’: Watch

Nigerian Afrobeats maestro Reekado Banks continues to sit in the front row of his class with ‘Pulling Up’. The decision to shoot the lyric video in VR 360° signals the innovative prowess of the former Mavin Records singer. With the rise in the demand of virtual experiences on both Web2 and Web3, we are expecting to see more African giants follow Reekado Banks’ footsteps.

‘Pulling Up’ is perfect soundtrack to follow after a one night stand, or maybe a series of careless hook-ups. Lustful lyrics that deny the burdening responsibility of settling down are the main event. Reekado Banks packages this menacing message is a delicate and repayable capsules. Easy to swallow!

Nigerian singer-songwriters Bella Alubo and Niniola share their ‘Location’: Watch

Photo: Courtesy of the artist

Bella Alubo shared her latest music video for the single, ‘Location’. This record features one of her Nigerian peers, known as Niniola. It’s an enjoyable fast tempo Amapiano bump with Nigerian Afrobeats sauce smeared all over it. The music is energetic and colourful, characterised by notorious log drum rolls. I wish I could say the same for the reel. Unlike her previous installation, ‘Gbolahan’—which was clearly a well-written picture, ‘Location’ feels like a rushed Chivas advertisement. It’s not totally foul, but Bella Alubo can definitely do better. Her sound is consistent and is unique. Her lovely voice, coupled with a groovy beat carries the song. Lovable!
