This [email protected] morning playlist consists of Antoine Bishop, Ocean View, Sahtyre, and more.
Antoine Bishop – Feels / Oh Snap Fireplace featuring Georgia (Submission)
Maryland-based recording artist Antoine Bishop just blessed our stage in Austin, Texas for our 11th-anniversary party. It was his first time there. We wish we could give him more time, but there will be opportunities in the future. We believe more people have to see him and hear him. Personally, I think his musical vocal clarity and how his voice seems to levitate over the beat is out of this world! Now, he’s back with a split track featuring fellow artist, Georgia. Listen to his voice.
The CLEctive – One Chance (Submission)
The CLEctive—pronounced ‘collective’—recently released a new single from their new project. It’s about happiness, doing what you want to do and knowing when to say no. When you’re looking for something innovative and fresh to share, you should give this Ohio band a boost. One chance is all they ask. Their new EP, Drop Top Music, is out now.
MKSTN, Inna Powell, Tea Kittagucci, Nevon – Venice Lovin’ (Submission)
If you’re on your way back to sleep like I am, the recording artists may have set the mood for us. The tranquil track is made for sexy time. As I listened to the break of the song it reminded me of Geto Boys’ ‘My Mind Playing Tricks On Me’—which is always a plus.
Ocean View – Vintage Love (Submission)
Receiving music submissions from different parts of the world shows me how influential North America is when it comes to the entertainment business. I didn’t have any reservations about what the music may sound like when I received the following song from the Saint Lucian music. I think I was more happy about the reach. Anyway, the young artist sings on a smooth instrumental about growing old in love, calling at the wrong time and losing his mind. It’s a song from his three-day Valentine’s Day EP: Dawn.
Sahtyre – Numb featuring Trizz (Submission)
Keeping it as real as he always does—on wax and off wax—Los Angeles-native rapper Sahtyre shares the first single from his forthcoming EP, The Gorgeous Darkness. “Numb” addresses fake friends, living his best life, and demanding the respect he deserves as a result of his strength. Featuring fellow Los Angeles rapper, Trizz, the record takes a turn as he talks about his Christian faith, getting high, and hanging out with friends. Sahtyre is one of the best human beings I had the chance to connect with in Los Angeles many years ago. His new EP will be out March 30 through Below System Records. Stay tuned.
Fabian Secon – Nowhere (Submission) (Bonus)
If Fabian Secon doesn’t know how to do anything else in life, he sure knows how to make a song. Check out the new Rock/Rap track now.
LWin – So Close featuring Nolti (Submission) (Bonus)
“So Close” reminds me of New York rappers during the Dipset era. They weren’t quite part of the set, but they looked for The Heatmakerz type beats to destroy. I was in high school, getting ready to enter college. There isn’t much to read about LWin, the Los Angeles musician, but it’s interesting to see where he goes next.
