Week 5 NFL power rankings

Only four weeks in, it’s still too early in the season to determine who is the best all-around overall team. It’s been a few surprises early on this season. The Arizona Cardinals are playing terrific on both sides of the ball, where NFL analysts say they might respect the NFC for the Superbowl. Cooper Kupp and Matthew Stanford have become one of the top QB, WR combinations. Justin Herbert, along with Lamar Jackson, has both improved greatly from their previous season.

The last week ranked number 3 team, Buffalo Bills, is now this week’s number 1 team. Surprisingly, the defence is playing just as well as the offence this year. Buffalo has forced three or more turnovers in the past three games and has held two opponents scoreless in four games. That success has led to a plus-90 scoring margin. The Bills are the fifth team to be plus-80 or better through four games in the past 20 years.

The Arizona Cardinal leap six spots up to number two, as Kyle Murray is playing like the NFL’s MVP. The offseason acquisitions of James Connor, A.J Green etc., has blended perfectly from the start as the Cardinals are the only undefeated team left at 4-0.

Last week number 1 team, the Los Angles Rams, fell two spots to number 3. The Rams drop in ranking is simply due to the elevation by the Bills and Cardinals. Entering Monday night, Chopper Kupp led the NFL with five receiving touchdowns and ranked third with 431 receiving yards.
