As the Summer approaches, venues are opening, and people are beginning to gather again. Festival organisers are scheduling dates, lineups announced, and concertgoers are hoping and praying that nothing gets cancelled.

Which festivals should we know about this year as fans of Black music of the diaspora? We don’t know about many others, but Native Festival seems to be the only one with GRAMMY® award-winning artist Burna Boy as a headliner.

Where will the event happen? Cancún, Mexico at the Moon Palace, and you expect a “96-hour multicultural experience”. According to our research, it is probably one of the safest places in the Riviera Maya. It is completely isolated from the rest of Cancún and is fifteen minutes from the Hotel Zone.

What else can you expect? Two main stages, various themed parties, the hottest selectors and artists from different continents, and an all-inclusive resort. Joining Burna Boy is Fireboy DML, Diamond Platnumz, Spice, Dexta Daps, and more.

How much are the tickets? There are three packages available for purchase on the festival’s official website. Visit this link for the details.
