If there was ever a song to encapsulate my social life and dating life, it might be this one. “Sometimes, losing friends is alright” has a dual meaning for me, though.

(1) When you are crushing on someone, and you want to leave the friend’s zone, they have to see you as more than a friend. In this case, losing a friend would be a “good” thing: All for the sake of being lovers.

(2) As callous as it may seem to people who aren’t lion-hearted, it is a way of life. Sometimes, we have to bring relationships/friendships to an end to survive. We hurt, too, but we know our worth and what’s best for personal growth and peace. In this case, losing a friend would be a “good” thing: All for the sake of loving ourselves more.

Regardless of which interpretation fits you, listen to the Alt-Pop group Moby Rich’s Bishop Briggs-assisted song ‘friends*’ now.
