Born in South Carolina, midwxst (real name Edgar Nathaniel Sarratt III) released his debut album named after a fictional character named E3. Throughout the well-constructed work, he narrates how he feels (‘hate how much’), people wanted the old him (‘old me’), his internal challenges (‘pretty girls’ and ‘heartache blues’), and the body of music underscores profound growth and maturity for the twenty-year-old recording artist.

About his expressive debut, midwxst shares: “I just want people to understand that I went through a lot of the shit I am expressing on this album. And yeah I went through it, and yeah it hurt, but it made me grow and become who I am today. And I wouldn’t trade any of that pain or any of that loss for anything.”

Stream the twelve-track LP out now. It’s a Geffen Records release.
