This month, Haitian award-winning producer-artist Michaël Brun and Nigeria’s viral superstar Oxlade, currently celebrating a platinum SNEP record, shared a new track called ‘Clueless’ about a tumultuous relationship. The connection is jaded with several misunderstandings, leading to fights and heartbreak. For a guy as busy as he is, you’d think Oxlade wants to call it quits with her, but he wishes to rekindle the bond and figure out how to make it work. Oxlade’s love for her is unconditional, and the ‘KU LO SA’ singer makes it clear to the people, looking at his relationship, that money comes second to his love on his list of things to do.

“After you sey u know only money be my focus, our focus”

The way the unknown woman makes the Nigerian powerhouse feel is unexplainable, unlike any other feelings he has felt for another person. As a result, he is clueless, yet it has left a lasting impression that he will not trade or let that go. And if you want him to explain, he would have to summon an interpreter to help him.

About the song, the Latin GRAMMY-winning producer said, “Working with Oxlade was such an honor”, Michaël Brun shares. “I knew from the first song of his I heard–that he was a true genius. It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that his session with me in the States was his first outside of his home country, Nigeria. The operatic elements of his voice and the ways in which he uses harmonies and layers are what make Oxlade who he is, a true legend. It was a really, really incredible experience so I’m excited to finally release the song. I’m extremely proud of it. It’s one of my favorite things I’ve ever done and I hope that people like it as well.”
