Michael Blackson opens new school in Agona Nsaba (Central Region of Ghana)

This week, Michael Blackson opened a school in Nsaba, which is in the Central Region of Ghana. As the founder of the school, he promises to offer free education and to cloth the students free of charge. It’s a big deal, as some children in some parts of the world have to worry about the cost of tuition and to keep up with the latest fashion.

About his recent accomplishment, he shared the following statement: “Today is the greatest day of my life because I’ve finally accomplished what I always wanted to do, which is giving these kids a chance to be great,” Blackson captioned a video of himself and others visiting the ribbon cutting for the school. “Greatness starts with education and foundational. Education shouldn’t come with financial barriers.”

The American comedian has roots in both Ghana and Liberia. You can find flags from each country in the series of pictures below.
